Occupy everything! (A Rant)

Tolstoy once said "Government is violence." We see this everyday- sheriffs evict on behalf of bankers causing children and the elderly to go cold- minor drug offenses send young kids to prison to languish- business profits are protected while the working-class starves amongst plenty- and the greatest act of government violence, War, is ever funded and enacted in the name of 'Peace.'

My head spins thinking of this.... I would assert that, not only is government violence, it is absolute chaos. It is Lawlessness.

But there is a shining hope, one which I have waited the whole of my life to see. A new people's movement, not based on parties or politicking, but forced out of nesessity and outrage. The watchword for the new outburst of activity is "Occupy Everything."

In the last six months many of us who have taken part in actions have tasted something we never have had... the extacy of freedom and spontanteous cooperation... real order.

We have realized that power is not something held, but something lent. We're taking it back. Our lives have allways been in a state of occupation by those who would dominate us. We're reclaiming what has always been ours.

All workers and students of the world, now is our chance. Our housing, our food, our education, our workplaces... we create all, we deserve all.
